Thanks for stopping by.
I’m starting an exciting adventure and want you to come along. My passion for nutrition and leading a healthy lifestyle led me to my certification as a holistic nutrition consultant.
I have a beautiful son and he rules my world. Even with all the craziness of being a working mom, busy schedules and just trying to stay afloat, I did not want to sacrifice on health & wellness. I want to teach you all how to do this too.
I’m an Indian immigrant and came to the US almost 15 years ago as a graduate student. This was my transition from eating healthy, fresh home cooked meals to eating most of my meals outside. Sandwiches, pizzas, pastas and beers you get the drift. I put on the freshmen 10 (or 15) but I was just focused on landing a job and not on my health.
After graduating I started working for one of the big four consulting firms in New York. This meant being on the road, bagel breakfasts, fancy corporate dinners and take out. Overtime, I felt I had less energy, not feeling my best no matter how “healthy” I chose to ate and my skin would breakout which it never did. On a whim I decided to do a 3 day juice cleanse and that was the turning point. I had more energy, felt light and great within a week of clean eating. It may sound too good to be true but that’s how impactful it was.
That experience really changed my perspective on how I looked at food and kick started my journey on understanding how what we ate affects us.
I started reading books on nutrition, blogs and anything I could get my hands on related to this topic. I went in deep and started progressively changing my lifestyle and how I ate. It made a huge impact to my overall health. Getting older is a given but how we do and feel is up to us. I was not perfect and still far from it, but progress not perfection is my mantra.
My research on this topic and experimenting with various foods & superfoods over the years motivated me to help others decode food and nutrition to live their best lives. I’m also an avid yoga student. Yoga has taught me mindfulness and the connection between our body, mind & soul.
I live in San Jose, California and work in the startup tech space. I totally get how busy life can get. My goal is to help YOU reach your best potential in your journey related to health and make those healthy habits stick, not for a week or a month but for your lifetime. I hope you will join me and keep the conversation going.
Love & Hugs,
Divya
