Transform your hair by providing the right nutrients to it. Check out this blog.
Has your hair been falling a lot more when you wash or comb it? Do they feel dry and coarse?
The health of our hair is a reflection of what’s going on inside us and the external stressors that we have to deal with. There are a number of products in the market that advertise how they can help transform your hair but they don’t work as you have to work on the inside first.
Here are 3 simple steps you can take to improve your hair health – quality and quantity
- Improve your digestion
- Hair needs nutrients but if your digestion is stuck, the nutrients from your food will not get to your hair. Signs that show that your digestion is not optimal are constipation, bloating, acid reflux, and gas. As your body is unable to extract optimal nutrients from your food, over time your hair becomes weaker and starts to fall. Identify your food sensitivities, and remove sugars & processed foods from your diet as initial steps to improve your digestion.
- Increase your protein intake
- Hair is made up of a protein called keratin. We need protein to build muscle, repair tissues, and for strong hair. Focus on the quality and quantity of protein each day. Here are sources of protein , eggs, nuts & seeds, beans, green leafy vegetables, meat, and fish.
- Scalp massage
- Our hair just like our skin needs external care. Massaging your scalp with lukewarm coconut, jojoba, or olive oil regularly will invigorate your roots and nourish them. Apply oil to your scalp and hair the night before you plan to wash them or at least 30 minutes before shampooing consistently will show results!
My hair has been on a journey especially after having my son. I have a lot more greys but by following the steps above consistently, I have been able to regain my hair health and so can you!
